Print-for-a-Book swap, 2013

To keep my library up to date with so many of the great books I didn't purchase in 2012, I am once again offering a Print-for-a-Book swap.

It is quite simple. Send me an email if you have on of these books you would like to trade for this print from my HABOOB series. This image isn't printed or editioned anywhere else, only here for this swap.

The books...

Jem Southam, THE RIVER WINTER
Alec Soth, BROKEN MANUAL GOT IT!
Richard Rothman, REDWOOD SAW GOT IT!
Lucas Foglia, A NATURAL ORDER
David Monteleone, RED THISTLE GOT IT!
Pietro Mattioli, TWO THOUSAND LIGHT YEARS FROM HOME  GOT IT!
Marten Lange, ANOTHER LANGUAGE GOT IT!
Michael Subotsky, RETINAL SHIFT GOT IT!
Ron Jude, OTHER NATURE  GOT IT!
Gerry Johansson, PONTIAC
Gerry Johansson, DEUTSCHLAND
J. Carrier, ELEMENTARY CALCULUS GOT IT!

Print-for-a-book swap #4

"Tikiman" from HIGLEY, 2006. 24x30 cm.

As I've said before...

I am offering a few of my press prints from various book projects over the last years in trade for a selection of books I would like to have. THESE PRINTS ARE SLIGHTLY DAMAGED* (a small kink here or there) and most have various printer notes cryptically scribbled on the back, but they are in tact though they show the signs of the scanning and proofing process. They will be inscribed with my name and project title but will also say "press print- not for sale". They are 24x30 cm c-prints, hand printed by me and should look exactly like the printed versions as the scans were made from these exact prints.

*but...this print doesn't seem to be damaged, thank you scan people.

I would like to have this book in trade: Mark Steinmetz, South East.

Send me an email if would like to trade. I am not going to tell you where to buy it, maybe you have an extra copy laying around, but if you do simply order one, I would suggest doing so through one of the stores which I listed in the roster to the right.

Andrew Phelps - Print for a Book Swap #3

Things have been quiet here as i am in Japan until the beginning of March. Thats me, with a bad fashion choice of a green sports coat, making a portrait of some perfectly dressed gentlemen at a rice festival in the countryside of Niigata Perfecture.

So as to not fall completely out of the loop, I am launching number 3 of the Print for a Book Swap.

And once again...

I have made some cut-backs this year as well, specifically buying fewer books. This is my shot at trying to keep my book collection up-to-date.

Andrew Phelps - Print for a Book swap #1

Hello world,

(insert all of the texts you have heard from artists over the last year struggling with the financial state, lack of print sales, rent hikes, need to sell some work fast, offering a one chance edition to survive another month...)

I have made some cut-backs this year as well, specifically buying fewer books. This is my shot at trying to keep my book collection up-to-date.

I am offering a few of my press prints from various book projects over the last years in trade for a selection of books I would like to have. I am offering this print from HIGLEY:

Andrew Phelps, Roping Renosos, from Higley, 2007

In trade for this book:

Joel Sternfeld, Oxbow Archive, Steidl 2008

SORRY, NO LONGER AVAILABLE. THANKS FOR ALL OF THE INTEREST, DO STAY TUNED...
